ke kanazawa kekite

It's been a LONG time since i last updated my blog. Yesterday I didn't sleep at all until 6 am, just to stalk my sister's blog. ehem.

Actually I went to Kanazawa last year to enjoy the scenery and most important part, food hunting. Yup. This was my last year's unexpected trip with my girl friends.

We went to the market, (must go places in Kanazawa) and there are LOTS of crabs here and there. BIG crab, BIG price. No kidding.

expensive crabs here and there
As I said earlier, our main reason to go to Kanazawa is for food hunting. It was at the end of fall season, so we didn't really expect to see pretty autumn scenery. But there were fresh uni(sea urchin) and kaki(oyster). People often says that this uni taste awful, not to mention that this is raw and fresh uni. But honestly I had no idea about uni so I just ate it without hesitating.

A plate of uni/oyster costs us 500\. That's around RM15. But believe it or not I had 2 plates each. That is the same price as eating a dish in a family restaurant!

I still love the taste of the oyster and now I'm drooling just to imagine the freshness of the raw oyster! Aumm

We had our late lunch/dinner at a nearest restaurant. It costs us 1000\. Reasonable price for this quantity. I just love fried fresh ebi(prawn).

We also had ice creams. Unique flavour ice cream. See the black ice cream my friend had there? It's the charcoal ice cream. While I had a normal vanilla ice cream but with gold leaf topping on it. I repeat, GOLD. It costs me 350\, quite a normal price.

Kanazawa is a tourist-friendly tour spot. Buses are easy to find, and in fact we bought a one-day pass for 500\(if I'm not mistaken).

We also walk around on foot to see the shops and cafes.

That's all for now. I will also update my trip  to Hokkaido with my best friend on last haru yasumi (spring holiday) next time. Toodles^^

eid adha in japan

eid mubarak everyone. This year is the first year I performed sembahyang raya haji in Jepun, since I studied in Japan for this past 4 years.
We never had any chance to perform the prayer or celebrating it with various kind of luxury food, as we need to attend classes.
Not only I helped in preparing dishes with my fellow friends and sisters in Japan for the 'rumah terbuka' in Osaka, but I also went to 'rumah terbuka' in Fukui too! It was super fun, and pretty tired too.

Mee kari, nasi himpit, kuah kacang, butter cake ready for open house in osaka

I never thought I would love to eat mee curry, because I never like one before. But when you get to eat this where you can't have it anywhere in Japan, you'll find it the most amazing food you ever had in foreign country!
the delicious mee kari
Butter cake I made
I was in charge of baking cake. Butter cake. I was surprised that the ingredients needed were just butter, sugar, pancake flour and 3 eggs!
Sadly I failed in the first round of baking the cake because I used the wrong type of flour.. It turned out nice in the second round, but failed again for the 3rd round. *sigh*
However it looked like castella cake to me instead of butter cake. kakakah

We performed the eid adha prayer in korea international school in osaka. It was quite crowded though. And peaceful too, though I coudn't hear the content of the qutbah, as the women's side were very loud and noisy with the never ending chit chats. And kids running here and there, babies crying non-stop..no wonder it wasn't compulsory for the women to perform friday prayer in the masjid.

sayangness in osaka
After performing the prayer, everyone headed back to our own places. After the long journey, I headed straight to kak su's open house. I was very tired and didn't really talked much(I talked a lot with a loud voice and then became very quiet after done eating kahkahkah). But when I reached my apartment I thought I would took a 15 mins nap but instead I slept for a few hours before I woke up in the middle of the night.^^

Lastly, happy eid to everyone, may Allah bestow forgiveness to us and may we always be an obedient servant to Allah.
