12 days d'korea

Salam alaik, readers.
It's been a very long time since i last wrote my blog.
well then, I went to Korea with friends, 6 of them, last year. actually, Last December. For 12 days.

SO, upon our arrival in the airport, we changed some of our money at the 'Hana Bank'.

And we headed to the Guesthouse. The gorgeous guesthouse, 'Duriworld House'.

FYI, the guesthouse is only for girls. And i stayed in the same room with my Sarawakian friend.

The manager of the guesthouse, Mr Andrew Ohm. His partner, JJ. In case you wanna stay in Korea, do contact him.

After we perform our prayer and all, we started our journey to Myeong-dong.(if i'm correct bout the name, yeah, we went to myeong-dong) You might wanna hold ur friend's hand 'cause it's slippery! and it's -11degree celcius!

Here's what i think is cool! You can touch-screen the information screen or, i don't know what it's called..
At least if i need to check where i'm heading to, i won't have to use my phone! Need to save the battery. Haha

So here we are. Myong-dong. It's like the Takeshita street in Japan; only it's bigger, and colder, and packer, and cheaper. I guess so. We need to get really close to each other so we won't get lost.
It's a shopping street, so there're lots of tourists here, even the Malaysians. Oh yeah, there's a really cheap bag shop, cost 10000 won per bag. But sadly, i didn't buy it cause I'm not interested. The others bought them like, 3-4 bags. Whoa!

And then we went to have our lunch, at a restaurant which, i forgot to ask it's name. It's quite expensive, but worth for it. We ate Bul-nakji, which is kinda like, uh, sambal sotong, which is totally incredibly, hot! I mean, seriously spicy octopus. But i love this dish very much!

So, after enjoying our heavenly shopping time, we continued our journey to the Namsan Tour, It's like the Tokyo Tower, but it's really cold and i barely can't feel my leg anymore because of the coldness and the numbness, which i thought that i might die in coldness, if i didn't ran into the first convenient store we saw on top of the 'hill'. geez, seriously i felt like a traveler in the desert seeing a pond. yikes!

Just a pic a took randomly on top of the hill with the degree of -12 or less. it was freaking cold!

Then the next day we went to Lotte World, but only the indoor game. Gladly all the indoor game wasn't as scary as i thought it would be. Surprisingly i'm okay with steep hills for ski and such, but not theme park, cause i hate them!

we had our fun for 4days, then we went to the winter programme, JUMS(Jalinan Ukhuwwah Musim Sejuk) held by ISMA Jepun, in collaboration with ISMA Korea. for 3 days.

Sadly, I lost my camera's memory card at my friend's house, which we never found it back after that. The story was, my memory card was full -> i tried to move them to my hard disk -> were rushing in the morning -> lost it while , i don't know when. The end.

But then i found a shop which sell camera's memory card, (at last, phew! it's really hard to find it in korea) even though it was expensive for a 4GB card, i bought it anyway.

And so, we went to the 63 Building.

There's a wax museum, so we took some pictures. But i used my friend's memory card, which i never had the chance to transfer them to my hard disk, so no picture. *sigh*

anyway, here are some..
The pretty view from the 63rd floor of the 63 Building.

Tell you what, my mom would freak out that the floor we stepped on in this picture, was actually transparent. I did. Didn't dare to look down.

The KLCC Twin Tower's 3D puzzle.

Oh yeah, on our last day, we also went to the Kitty's Cafe! Cute foods, cute coffees, stuff and all. But sadly, it wasn't as delicious as it looks.
Took some crazy fun pictures. haha

We also went to the Mosque at Ittaewon. As pretty as it look, it has 'Allahu Akbar' written on it, which means 'Allah is The Greatest'.

The only thing i regret was not going to the cat cafe, because i was crazy for coffee in Korea. Compared to Japan, there are lots of kinds of coffee shop everywhere. And my favourite coffee is, caramel macchiato!
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I'm immune to coffee compared with my friends, as they were having problem to sleep and cute-ly being hyperactive after drinking coffee.. ngee..

Last but not least in my post this time, I bought lots of souvenirs to bring back to my family. Wish i could go traveling with them one day.

Toodles then! Wish I can post my blog about trip in Turkey one day.. My second top list to go after the sacred holy land, Mecca. Was envy with mom and sis for going there during my coming holiday.

Annyeong!
